We are happy to announce SAMUDAY Project that has started in partnership with HCL Foundation. This Project will be implemented in 11 blocks of Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh.  Project SAMUDAY is HCL Foundation’s initiative to develop a replicable model, a source code for economic and social development of rural areas across six sectors; Education, Health, Infrastructure, Water, Sanitation and Income Augmentation, and use the same to build model villages in partnership with central and state government, village communities, NGO’s, knowledge institutions and allied institutions.

Project SAMUDAY envisions to work towards identifying the best development model for uplifting rural India and to create a source code (blueprint) for repeatability. It focuses on holistic development of selected villages through optimal interventions in above-mentioned six sectors.

Key Objectives Of The Project

The project aims to foster Capacity building of Village Organizations and active SHG’s through involvement of master trainer.

The key objectives of the project are:

  • Development of master trainers for training of community institutions
  • Development of master trainer modules and IEC
  • Capacity building and training of Village Organizations.
  • Identification, training need assessment and capacity building of 900 shgs which will impact the lives of around 15000 women

The project objectives are aligned with the National Rural Livelihood Program, rolled out by Central and State governments. Besides this, the project aligns with a key CSR program already implemented by HCL Foundation.
