We are happy to announce our partnership with Azim Premji Foundation for the project “To strengthen facilitation and capacity building of key grassroots functionaries of entitlements program in Rajasthan.” The project aims to build the capacity of local youth around constitutional rights, entitlements, MGNREGA and Social Audit.

Project Title:

To strengthen facilitation and capacity building of key grassroots functionaries of entitlements program in Rajasthan

Key objectives of the project:

  • To trained and build the capacities of 1650 local youth around the constitutional rights, entitlements, MGNAREGA and social audit.
  • To trained 33000 MGNAREGA mates for strengthening the MGNAREGA program
  • To strengthen the social audit processes for improving transparency and accountability

Target geography of the project

The project will be implemented across all 33 districts of Rajasthan. Project will reach out to each block of the state through the active participation of local civil society and youth belonging to marginalized community members.

Project Duration:

Proposed duration of the project is 12 months, and it has been started from January 2022. The project will be implemented by SR Abhiyan a group of organisations working in Rajasthan.  Through the financial support of Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives (APPI), the program aims to create eco system for strengthening government program. The project objectives are aligned with #SDG 1 (No poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 10 (Reduce Inequality) 13 (Climate Action) and 17 (Partnerships to achieve the goal). The project is aligned with the major program of the Central and State governments. The key program being the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA), and other government development programs
