Insightful interactions between members of Bindi International and our production sakhis during recent field visit to Badabanda & Kankarda Village (Baran) Community Awareness Camp organized in 8 new villages in association with UN Women under 'Build Back Better' project. Goat Farmers Training conducted at Jara and Dangdiroli (Seondha) with KVK scientists. Training and animal feed distribution program organized at the Manjari office in Sarmathura, for 100 scheduled tribe goat farmers. We are pleased to announce our partnership with Ashraya Trust for the Farmer’s Prosperity and Resilience through Climate-Smart Tech Agriculture project. This initiative will have a significant impact on the lives of women farmers. By leveraging innovative agricultural technologies and climate-smart practices, we aim to empower these women, enhance their agricultural productivity, and build resilience against climate change. Through this collaboration, we envision fostering sustainable livelihoods, promoting gender equality, and advancing agricultural sustainability. Together, we are committed to creating meaningful change and fostering prosperity among women farmers, thereby contributing to broader community resilience and well-being.

Project Title and Geography

The Farmer’s Prosperity and Resilience through Climate-Smart Tech Agriculture project will be implemented in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Key Objectives of the Project

• Enhanced Income of Women Farmers: To increase farmers’ income by 50,000 annually through Productivity Enhancement through Better Farm Management.

• Foster Sustainable Tech-driven Farming: To build the knowledge and skills of farmers to use and practice scientific tech advisory provided by weather stations.

• Improving Access to the Market: To facilitate market linkages and value addition.

• Improving Household Nutrition: To improve the nutrition status of households through improving the production system and dietary diversification.

• Climate-Resilient Farming: To build the ecosystem for Climate-resilient Farming system through developing Bio-Resource Centre Increase.

Project Duration and Target Community

The project will be implemented in Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The duration of the project is 36 months, starting from 1st March 2024 to 28th February 2027. Through a joint collaboration of Ashraya Trust, the program aims to create a transformative impact in the lives of more than 2000 rural families. The project endeavors to achieve this by enhancing the income of women farmers through the introduction of new technologies and innovative practices. By providing access to such advancements, the project seeks to empower women in agriculture, thereby contributing to their economic stability and overall well-being within the community.
