On World Environment Day, organized a training program and rally to combat plastic pollution and promote sustainable practices in Sitarganj. In village Khor, dropout and school-going girls were educated about nutrition and basic mathematics. On World Environment Day, the Digital Sakhi project in Amet, Rajsamand, organized tree plantation drives, environment day rallies, and pledge-taking ceremonies for a plastic-free future in 4 gram panchayats. Manjari is delighted to announce its partnership with Jhajjar power limited, formalized through an MOU, to drive transformative change by empowering rural women by developing their institutions and enterprises. Manjari Foundation and Capri Loans collaborated for a Plantation Drive at Ajmer Road, Jaipur, planting 100 trees.

Operation Awaaz- Justice for crimes against women

To prevent crime against women, Rajasthan police launched a special campaign called operation Awaaz.

The objective of Operation Awaaz was to bring awareness on crimes against women and work towards attaining justice.

Sakhi women with the encouragement of Hindustan Zinc Ltd. supported the local police and administration in spearheading this campaign “Operation Awaaj” across all our project locations.

In order to reduce crimes against women, gender equality and female safety were identified as top priority among SHG members. Community Federation leaders invited the local police to their meetings where through public dialogue, posters and other audio-visual means, the police shared information with members related to the crimes, laws and safety measures.
